Welcome to Lyle Elementary School
The staff at Lyle Elementary School is committed to the academic and social success of all students. It is our belief that parents and the school must work together in each student's education. All teachers promote a strong partnership between home and school and have regular communication with parents.

Special Programs at Lyle
Read-at-Home Program - To promote students as readers we encourage reading at home with this incentive program.
Reading Buddy Program - For students that need a little extra boost with their reading, this program pairs an adult mentor with a student once or twice a week. During the 15 to 20 minutes of time, the student reads to the adult and works on fluency and comprehension.
Lunch Buddy Program - This program pairs a student with an adult mentor that eats lunch and spends time with a student once a week. The modeling and support that occurs for the individual students is proven to build self esteem.
Together Everyone Achieves More - On Friday mornings, the entire school participates in this school wide activity called T.E.A.M. Time. T.E.A.M. Time promotes health and fitness, school community, student recognition and cross grade level mentoring.

Parent Involvement
We encourage parents to become involved at Lyle Elementary School. We understand that parent involvement and volunteerism is essential to the success of our students, but that our parents can volunteer in a variety of ways. There are many ways to become involved at Lyle School. Parents can be a reading or a lunch buddy, volunteer in his/her child's classroom, join the Parent Teacher Club, or assist with special events at the school. We want all parents to be involved at Lyle Elementary School.
